Qualification B. E./ B.Tech (Computers)/ MCA or equivalent in software domain
Years of Experience 4-6 years of total work experience with 4+ years of Software Development experience in .NET
Role Description:
The incumbent is responsible for design and development of Web and Windows-based application modules using the .NET environment. The role includes developing code, quality checking of own module, troubleshooting issues faced by customer supporting software validation activities and guiding junior programmers on an ongoing basis.
Principle Accountabilities Project Planning and Reviews:
Provides assistance to Business Analyst, Team Lead or Project Manager in solution design
Participate in project planning and project reviews
Contribute to/ suggest improvements in the deliverables functional specifications in the usability and implement ability reviews
Software Development:
Analyze requirement/ program logic provided by Team Lead for ensuring clarity of desired specification
Produce code that meets design, style and quality requirements
Complete development activity in accordance with published plan
Client Management:
Work closely with the customer throughout the development process and build relationship by prompt service/ feedback
Provide ongoing technical support to the customer
Trouble shoot issues faced by customer
Team Management:
Provide technical guidance to Team Member's to resolve technical issues
Unit Testing and Code Reviews:
Conduct testing for own module to ensure mapping with software specifications
Conduct testing for modules developed by team members
Check source code for compliance with coding standards
Software Debugging:
Recognize and fix implementation problems identified in the project code during development/ module integration, usability or implement ability reviews
Software Release/ Project Implementation:
Support the Team Lead in module integration and release related activities
Reporting and Documentation:
Document code clearly and thoroughly according to the standardized style requirement
Develop user/technical documentation, wherever required
Training and Development:
Work towards developing own skills on the specified Microsoft Technologies
Mentor Trainees/ Junior Developers on an ongoing basis and provide technical guidance to improve their technical competence
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of Graphical User Interface designing or W.I.M.P.
Strong knowledge of ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB.NET
Knowledge of advanced concepts like WCF, WPF and Silver light
Knowledge of HTML, XML and DHTML
Experience with relational databases, especially with MS SQL Server (working on Triggers, Stored Procedures, Scripts)
Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and 2008 and IIS management
Experience with CSS, JavaScript / JQuery, AJAX, LINQ, MVC.NET, SCSF for web development
Knowledge of MS Office Suite for generating reports
Knowledge of SharePoint, or Microsoft Dynamics CRM shall be an added advantage
Any CMS experience will be added advantage.
